Records can be selected and acted on together — deleted, disabled or enabled in one step.
It is the right tool for a real job: retiring a service that left thirty records behind, or disabling a block of records while you test a migration.
Do this first
Take a zone file export. Export is one click and gives you the entire zone as text before you touch it. If the bulk action does something you did not intend, the export is the fastest route back, and it works on every plan including free.
If your plan includes Time Machine, a version is stored automatically as well — but the export costs nothing and takes five seconds.
Read the selection, not the button
The confirmation tells you how many records are selected. That number is the one to check. A filter applied before selecting is not always the filter you think it is, and "delete 42 records" is a different sentence from "delete 4 records".
Disable before delete
If the point is to find out whether something is still in use, disable the records rather than deleting them. They stop being answered immediately — which is the test — and go back in one action when something turns out to have depended on them.
